This session begins with a presentation of mandibular injection techniques most used by dental hygienists. Following this presentation, participants have an opportunity to ask questions and gain feedback on their technique. Students will use skull study models and anesthesia models along with syringes to practice and gain proficiency in injection techniques.

Discuss two common mandibular blocks Inferior Alveolar and Gow-Gates block injection
techniques.
Describe anatomical features which aid the clinician in proper syringe and needle placement of
the IA and GG injections.
Apply strategies of proper injection techniques to simulated learning models.
