Candace Hsu Owen is the Senior Director of Education and Strategic Partnerships for the National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA). She is a dental hygienist with an MPH and MS in Dental Hygiene. Her expertise includes interprofessional collaborative practice, workforce, health equity, and increasing access to care. With NNOHA, Candace develops resources for health care providers working safety net settings. Before NNOHA, Candace served as faculty at the UNM Department of Dental Medicine. She serves on the Advisory Board for Social Mission Alliance – an organization that promotes health equity in academia. Candace is also a direct-access dental hygienist for Deserving Dental, a Colorado non-profit organization that provides portable dental services to people experiencing barriers to care. Candace lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
