Darlene Swigart, RDH, MS

Darlene Swigart, EPDH, MS, is a full-time faculty member at Oregon Institute of Technology where she is first-year clinic coordinator. As Co-chair of the Klamath Basin Oral Health Coalition, Darlene is actively involved in advocating to improve the oral health of underserved populations. Darlene was co-recipient of an Oregon Health Science University Knight Cancer Institute Community Partnership Grant to study Head and Neck Cancer Screenings and served on the Oregon HPV Dental Task Force. Her expertise, publications and presentations focus on assessments, dental hygiene diagnosis, and care planning. Darlene’s current research involves implementing social determinants of health screening in dental hygiene practice.
