John Ahern, MB BCh BAO, BDentSc, MSc, PhD

Dr. Ahern is a dual-qualified professional in medicine and dentistry, currently serving as the Director of Medical-Dental Integration at the Cambridge Health Alliance, an innovative healthcare system serving the communities north of Boston, Massachusetts. Alongside his director role, Dr. Ahern is a practicing physician at the Cambridge Health Alliance, and faculty member at the Harvard Medical school. With a background from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, where he earned both medical and dental degrees, he has become a well-published scholar in the field of medical-dental integration. He has authored publications in top-tier primary care medical journals worldwide. As a former Fulbright Scholar at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Ahern brings a wealth of expertise to the intersection of medicine and dentistry.
