Susan Callahan Barnard, DHSc, RDH, FADHA

Bergen Community College
Paramus, New Jersey

Susan Callahan Barnard has been a dental hygienist for over 40 years and has served in many roles as a clinician, educator, corporate consultant, leader, and administrator. She is currently the founding Dean of Health Professions at Bergen Community College where she provides leadership and support to 10 health professions specialty programs. She was inducted into the 2023 inaugural class of ADHA Fellows. She has served in leadership in NJDHA, ADHA and recently as a Commission on Dental Accreditation Commissioner and Dental Hygiene site visitor. She continues to teach Community Oral Health in the dental hygiene program and prioritizes interdisciplinary learning opportunities throughout the Division. Susan is a CliftonStrengths Global Coach and integrates this strengths culture across the Division.
